- Mix the yeast and sugar into the warm water and give it a few minutes to allow the yeast to start working..
- Add all the other ingredients into a stand mixer with a dough hook. Start to combine them and then add the yeast mixture. Let the dough hook work until a smooth dough is produced. Add a little extra water if the mix is too dry, or a little extra flour if it is too wet..
- Let the dough prove for about an hour, until it has doubled in size..
- Divide the dough into 3-6 pieces (depending on how big you want the naans to be!) and roll into an ovallish shape..
- Heat a frying pan with a very little oil, and cook each naan for 2-3 minutes on each side..
- Serve with a delicious curry (pictured here with Bombay aloo and spinach chana masala)..
