  1. Wash Daal in running water 2-3 times and put in a pressure cooker. Add water, turmeric powder and salt and close the lid. Pressure cook for 10 minutes after first whistle. Switch off the flame and let pressure releases automatically..
  2. When pressure is released, strain water through a sieve and transfer it in a mixing bowl. Add chopped coriander leaves, green chilli and grated ginger. Add red chilli powder, garam masala and mango powder and mix and mash it thorougly. No need to add salt as we have added while pressure cooking..
  3. Grind bread slices in a mixer and make bread crumbs. Add boiled potatoes in it and mash it. Mix salt in it and knead like a dough..
  4. Divide this dough in 4 equal parts. Make balls. Flatten it in round with help of hands and make like a disc. Fill this disc with chana Daal stuffing. Cover it from all sides to centre and flatten it like a tikki..
